Stay up to speed on consignor news. View this email and all prior consignor emails here:

* DROP-OFF APPOINTMENTS *

 All consignors MUST have a scheduled drop-off appointment in order to consign their items *and* to receive their consignor presale wristband passes. Your drop-off appointment is the time when you will bring your tagged items to the sale location. Log-in to your consignor account and schedule your drop-off appointment before the system shuts off on SEPT. 13th at 9am.

(To be fair to Consignors on time for their appointment: Consignors who arrive more than 15 minutes before or 15 minutes after their scheduled drop-off appointment will be asked to wait until all consignors currently on-time for their appointment are served (Note: This does not apply if your drop appt is during your scheduled work shift (in this case, you will be able to do your drop appt at the end of your work shift as usual.)

* PRODUCT SAFETY / RECALLS  *

All items you bring to the sale *must* be checked against the CPSC web site to make sure they have not been recalled or deemed unsafe.  Links to the CPSC here:  http://storkladysale.com/sell/preparing-items-for-sale/product-safety/

* ITEM LIMITS *

Save yourself the trouble of cleaning, hanging, tagging and hauling items that we can’t accept.
Be sure to review the SELLER FAQ’s for info on what will be accepted at the FALL/WINTER KIDS SALE.

* MINIMUM $$ AMOUNTS *
All clothing must have a minimum sale price of $2.00. Hang more than one item together to get to the $2.00 minimum if necessary (ie sell 2 t-shirts together for $2.00 – please use pins or zip-ties to make sure the shirts stay together.  If they become separated, it is very difficult to pair them back up). Look at the condition of your clothing carefully, if you wouldn’t buy it for the minimum sale price of $2.00, consider whether this may not be the selling venue for it.All other items must have a minimum sale price of $1.00

* IMPORTANT: RESORT CODES *

MAKE NOTE OF YOUR RESORT NUMBER (automatically prints in the lower right corner of each of your tags):
At the close of the sale, we ‘resort’ each consignor’s unsold items back into consignor number order. This process makes it very easy for our consignor’s to pick up their unsold items.  However, this process requires much time, energy and manpower.  In an effort to streamline this process, every time a consignor registers for one of our events, they are assigned a unique “Resort Code”. This Code will automatically print in the LOWER RIGHT CORNER of each tag printed.

Note that any tags printed for STORK LADY EVENTS PRIOR TO SEPT. 2012 (ie tags on items that did not sell in prior sales & you plan on bringing them back to sell at the SEPT 2012 sale), may not have the correct “Resort Code” number for the current sale.  If your RESORT CODE has changed for the upcoming SEPT sale, you must ‘white out’ and write in the CORRECT Resort Code for the current sale on all tags on items that you bring from PREVIOUS sales (ie the tags were entered and printed PRIOR to registering for the Sept. 2012 sale). (Alternatively, you have the option of printing labels with the correct Resort Code, to stick on your tags and cover old Resort Codes. (When you log-in to work with your inventory, you will see the option to “Print Stickers”. You can then use these printed labels (stickers) to place in the lower right corner of all tags you are bringing that may have been printed for prior sales. (Use Avery Return Address size labels: http://tinyurl.com/7affmtw.))

*** NOTE:  You do not need to be concerned about ‘Resort Codes’ for any items that have tags that are marked to be “DONATED” if they do not sell.

If you are planning on picking up your ‘unsold’ items: It is critical that all tags brought to the SEPT. 2012 sale have your CURRENT Resort Code number on them.

* TAPE SHUT ALL ZIPLOCK BAGS *
All ziplock bags must be taped securely shut.All items with loose ‘pieces’ should have those pieces taped down securely or taped shut in a bag of some kind (and then tape the *bag* securely to the larger item!).Several thousand shoppers will handle your items – make sure any loose parts & pieces will not become separated from each other.

Considering putting a piece of masking tape on all pieces/bags with your consignor# and the item# so that if they become separated from each other, we can match them back up.

* SECURING YOUR PINNED-ON TAGS *
This is a great tip that will make it virtually impossible for your clothing tags to fall off, be removed or switched. After pinning on the tag, take a piece of clear packing tape and wrap it completely around the top half of the tag. Be sure to completely cover the safety pin (front and back), but do not cover the barcode.

Try it once & you will see how secure it makes your tag!

* SMART SELLER’S TIP: *
Put a small piece of masking tape on each item with your consignor # and the item’s inventory # written on it.With this info we can print a new tag & SELL your item rather than let it sit in lost & found for several days.
Tip: Print out a sheet of tiny return address labels with your consignor # and the words “item #” on each.  Then all you have to do is write on the item #, and peel-and-stick!
